Is it Really Pulpy ???

Last evening , I was ambling across the street to have a soft-drink, I bought Pulpy Orange which is advertised as Asal orange and Real orange .To prove that they made some orange like substance in ..(I have no grudge on any Company), I saw the ingredients in it...To my surprise it said that "15 % orange Juice", Added colours and Flavors. Is this a meaning for "Asal Orange"???.....Unless we consumers are not aware of these hypos and believe the advertisements blindly we will end up in paying something which is not really worth for it !!!!!!!

Like the censor board do we really have anything for Ads....if there are what are they really doin?

After working in a peculiar time( 4PM- 12 ..Yes I worked even at these timings... :( :( ......) in office,As usual I missed the sleepiness which we get at Midnight,I did not want to disturb my sleeping I opened my Laptop to surf....I started hearing a Baila Song (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Baila) "Chinna Mami yey un Chittu Magal enga( Oh..Aunt ...Where is your sweet daughter!!) " of Ceylon Manohar, The song carries same tune and same tempo till the end..Still it makes you dance for it and that is the special of Baila. I happened to see one more Baila song (below video)which was truly emotional.........."Yazhpanam Polama....

At last I slept at 2.30 my heart felt for people who miss Jaffna...I prayed little to unknown God(Semi-Atheists remember God only at Their needs, at other times they speak atheism.......)
My dad has a college friend from Jaffna Or Yazhpanam (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jaffna) his name is Pirakashan ...Eelam(http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Eelam) he works in France his family is in France...Every middle class family in Eelam has someone Working abroad .They dont goto UK Canada or Sweden for getting more dowry saying that I work in foreign .It may happen in some of the neighboring states in the country I live(India), but he went for their survival , they must work for the mother ailing or a big family here in Vanni or Mattakalapu.SriLankan Tamils are hardworking like ants and their heart is like a sky just like other Tamil.

..Lankan govt has decided to start Yal devi train services again... Yal Devi which was stopped earlier is back on the track to the North with the cooperation of the South.Yes ..See the excitement of that in this video,

If you look from the eyes of Jaffna guy...Your heart is pinched with knife and they decorate after pinching it......U may cry after this video....

Reasons for Rise & Spread of Communism and Communist Terrorism

The whole educated world knows that Communism is a great threat to mankind ,it is second to terrorism, Still Communism is preached and followed in many places,it is more dangerous to the mankind. There are some reasons in this world for the rise and spread of Communist terrorism, They are,

1. Lack of Responsibility

When you tell a poor man that he is poor not because of his inability, but because he was exploited by the Bourgeoisie; he will feel comfortable by this belief. He will feel he is worth more. He will feel he is a victim (common to religion too) and that gives him a 'higher moral ground’. They form unions in various organizations. This is the root cause of Naxal forces in Chhattisgarh and Andhra Pradesh. These communist feeling also make government officials to accept bribery make fraud moreover they are lazy to the core.

2. Good Publicity

Nowadays its fashion to just blame USA and Israel for even the bad weather. Chavez for instance, will blame US at every public function, to make him look like some protector-against-evil-west hero. Youngsters wear Che Guevara t-shirts thinking he is some kind of messiah but he is mass murderer, Merchant of Death, Rapist….

3. The Problems it speaks is true

The Problems talked about by the Communists are true: poverty, lack of equal opportunity etc is true. So people assume the the solutions they provide are also true. The 'solutions' are actually utopian and not practical, and sometimes complicates the problems. Communist countries like North Korea, Cuba are still underdeveloped; China is a communist country for name sake.

4. Gives an Identity

Marxism has already become opium of the masses, like religion. It has its own dogma. Its own terminology like proletariat and bourgeois; prophets like Lenin and Marx; and even paradise lost like soviet Russia. All these give them an identity. Because of this, they will defend all the bad things in communism (Poland, Stalin etc) thinking it’s an attack on their identity, not unlike many religions.

Only progressive education can eradicate these evils......

Since I was bored these days,I was reading Philp Kotler’s Marketing book for some time……I would say myself that” I am more patriotic”. A big question came into my mind “Is India,a Consumer Market or Manufacturer Market???”
My view to that is……
I would like to quote an incident happened to my friend, other day a salesman from Vodafone came to my friend’s home and he briefed his parents about a new connection being provided along with our existing postpaid one (sadly..he hid many facts about tarrif,etc, from us and manipulated everything according to him).....When my friend came to know this..He registered a complaint at Vodafone CC and they readily agreed to return d money to my friend...w/o ne hassles...so I assumed its customer satisfaction driven market that India is growing towards...at least in organized sector for sure.I told this to my friend Vinoth ,but he told a sad story of their their Santro was brand new and its third free service was due. He handed over his car to Hyundai's best dealer in Pondy named Arvind Hyundai(run by a seth).
Work shop manager made a service card and told him to get back his car in the evening. when his dad went back to take his car's delivery his dad saw that seat was totally burnt from inside.
Arvind hyundai told him that car was on owner risk and they cant do anything. He complained to Hyundai more than 1000 time but no reply. Arvind Hyundai charged me for repairing of my car which was burnt by their negligence in their own custody.They showed a fifty page document that has explanations for many * and *** symbols in their agreement.They approached a lawyer to send a legal notice,Atlast the Seth agreed to his dad to repair at 70% discount.He agreed that.

I read about the PEST analysis, which says political, Economic, Social and Technolgical factors play a major role in marketing.
Taking into consideration the Social factors (in case of returning the used goods), I think the consumers themselves will not approve this point at this juncture of time.
Also, Think global, Act Local further fortifies that the global companies sell 'standard-product' (core pdt) and non-standard product(augmented) . So, here in India we find that the mentality of Indian consumers does not allow even the global players to take this approach.
Also, many ethnocentric company eg. us based companies are turning towards regioncentric or geocentric approach to cater to the market needs.
The fundamental aspect of marketing is identifying needs so I think that haphazard use of US market experience in Indian market will harm the global companies.
Now, my point is that India has been a consumer market from the very beginning, remember that I purchased some stuff from nearby shop and it was unusable, when I went to shop to return that , it was returned and exchanged.
If these points do not satisfy then I would like to ask you one question that if you used a D& G product, purchased in US, for 15 days and you find design is not suiting you. Can you return that?The answer to this question is a big NO.It depends on the companies policy of STP.

Today, wherever global companies are present is a consumer market. As, there is a power of choice to customers and they can't be cheated twice,( you can't cook your food twice in a wooden bowl')
The cost of acquiring a new customer is six times more that sustainig the existing one.

But We Should not forget to Thank Dr.MMS who made customers to expect sevice and good quality

I saw a google Ad showing to purse a course on Terrorism..I got wild..I just entered that website
actually it was a anti terror course in Pen state Univ in US.It would have been better if google would have Put the Ad as Course on Anti Terror.The google follows a technique called Dynamic insertion method,They might have a template for courses and college Admissions...They just inserted main keywords on the template and it led a way to my confusion.

Cycling was like a breath of fresh air… No safety helmets, your cycle with plenty of cardboards between spokes to make it sound like a motorbike…

When thirsty we only drank tap water, bottled water was still a mystery…
We kept busy collecting bits & pieces so we could build all sort of things … and we were fearless on our cycles even when the brakes failed going downhill…
We were showing off how tough we are, by how high we could climb trees & then jumping down….It was great fun….We could stay out to play for hours, as long as we got back before dark, in time for dinner…
We walked to school, or sometimes we even rode our cycle
We had no mobile phones, but we always managed to find each other…. How? No one knows…
We lost teeth, broke arms & legs, we got cuts and bruises and bloody noses…. nobody complained as we had so much fun, it wasn't anybody's fault, only ours
We ate everything in sight, cakes, bread, chocolate, ice-cream, sweet sugary drinks, yet, we stayed skinny by fooling around.
And if one of us was lucky to find a 1 litre coca cola bottle we all had a swig from it & guess what? Nobody picked up any germs...
We did not have Play Stations, MP3, Nintendo's, I-Pods, Video games, 99 Cable TV channels, DVD's, Home Cinema, Mobile phones, Home Computers, Laptops, Chat-rooms, Internet, etc ...

We played with sticks and stones, played Indians, doctors and nurses, hide and seek, soccer games, over and over again…BUT, we had REAL FRIENDS!!!!

The Majesty of Chettinad palaces

Yesterday I met my dad's close friend who is running a furniture stores at Pudhucherry,My memories went to my nineth standard where he took me to his native place Chettinad near Pudhukottai for his family function,To be true i havent seen such a big house in my life , he said that homes in Chettinad are now used for TV serials . I think everyone would have noticed the palace of Raja Annamalai Chettiar in various movies.It is irony that many people left those majestic bunglows and they are living in 2 bedroom and single bedroom flats in US,Chennai,London and a lot in Singapore

But maintaining such a large home itself is a big task due to scarce of labour and labour costs,many left Chetinad because of that.There were many such palace homes in Bangalore but it were made hotels and picnic spot.Since Chettinad is a village and the climate in chettinad is horrible it is difficult to make it as a tourist spot like Mysore.But these architectural wonders can be preserved by developing the Village as a industrial hub so that the people dont migrate to the cities.Our Finance minister is also from Chetinad area,he is planning to bring a SEZ in Sivagangai.Lets hope These palace homes are preserved.

See the above picture,This home was constructed in 1902,but the woods used in that home is very good even now.And the building having very very minute cracks which is very less than cracks found in newly built flats and buildings in Chennai.Pls do remember these homes are constructed without a engineer.
It is very difficult to get a home like this,My uncle told me that Actor Vikram has purchased a home in Chettinad. Imagine number of windows to a home ...10 ,50 or 300...In Chettinad many houses have 1000 Windows..Then imagine the number of rooms in that home.

It Heard this news from an SMS that A.R.Rahman is going to score the background music for 2012 olympics in LONDON.It was no surprise to me, Rahman deserves that.The Mozart of Madras became Mozart of India...and now he is going to become the Mozart of World Music.Music for UN ,Pray for me Brother made him to be the star of the world music,He would have been very rich like pop singers if he would have been given rights for the film music,In India we dont have that practice,All rights are reserved with the producers.The forthcoming 2009 is going to be a big treat for Rahmanists with Yuvvaraaj( from the team of TAAL) and Marmayogi.The latest Buzz is the new combination of ARR+Gautam menon for Chennaiyil oru Mazhaikaalam,Lets see how that combination works....Some critics feel that Harris is better than Rahman..But Harris does his best only with Jeeva and Gautam.

The government of Pondicherry announced a plan of SEZ in setharapattu and some villages on the shore of pondicherry,as a part of land acquiring for SEZ the government started buying land to th farmers many farmers gave land to the comapnies and government,Some were not willing to give their land to the company,i personaly know a landlord ,who is one among them.I thought he is unwilling to give his land because it is their forefathers property,But the real reason is he is expecting double bonanza,he said that if the company starts its operation the land value will increase and says that he may build any shopping complex or flat system so that it's value will be double than the price of the land,I think the same is happening in the Tata plant of Singur.where some section of people in singur gave their land willingly to company but some people oppose the plant,But many farmers in the singur want TATA plant to be operated from singur and they also need their land to make a double bonanza.But this is a critical situation we cant blame the mindset of farmers but the only solution is making farmers as the shareholders of the company and allocation same amount of land near the plant so that no one gets affected,but this solution is not applicable in all the places.That's the reason budhudeb goverment's blinking on the issue.Any how Left parties are going to get a severe blow in westbengal and kerala due to SEZ controversies in both the states.

I was there at Coiambatore for a day,I didn't expect the coiambatore to be this beautifull,Wow wow wow...Roads with moderate traffic ,Good water,Less pollution, the one thing i notice is the develeopment of coiambatore is because of sustainable core industries like PSG motors,Robert Bosch etc,Which is more needed to our country,As there is usman road in chennai,Opanakara veethi in coiambatore is a great shopping place with very good shopping malls and stores like chennai silks etc,The city of coiambatore has very good educational institutions like PSG,CIT,GCT,Kumaraguru,Ramakrishna,Krishna etc...My uncle is a CIT alumini.The coiambatore people were very nice with a good helping tendency.Cost os living was cheap in tat city...But transpot sector was bad in coiambatore...three busstands for single city...vey hard to find the right one....As a whole we can stay in coiambatore after our retirement this beautifull is meant for that...Who know's, once the retirement paradise of south Bangalore became Costliest city in south because of IT industry even Coiambatore is becaming IT destination ,Lets hope coiambatore remains the same as it is...

Few days ago I went to Ernakulam.....It was a long journey..after spending a day in Ernakulam..I just went out from room I stayed ...I thought of Taking photocopies of my marksheet to apply for Jaypee group,Since I was from Tamilnadu, I dont know anything there I asked a person "do u know any xerox shop here?"...He asked me" what is Xerox?" ,I was surprised because he looked very professional like a doctor or an engineer.I explained that if we send this paper in a machine it will produce another copy of same paper with same contents.He laughed at me and said it is called PHOTOSTAT..To my surprise all the Xerox shops in kerala i saw only the name PhotoStat and not Xerox,Actually Xerox is a company name,Though i know that i usually use the name xerox for photocopy...but keralites never use the word xerox(as i seen in ernakulam shops)...But in chennai no one uses the word Photostat or Photocopy,Even in some government forms they use the word Xerox in Tamilnadu....
Then I went to a Coiambatore to my aunt's home,My aunt's father in law is old man, he is a great scholar,He holds a Msc degree in agriculture and he holds Phd by doing some research in soya beans, he is a knowledgeable person,When we were chatting at his home..he just asked "Do u have sun TV connection at home?" I was surprised to see him using the word Sun Tv connection instead of Cable connection.
These two incidents made me conclude that brand establishment is very difficult in Tamilnadu and Once it is established it cant removed even from well educated people in Tamilnadu....What do u feel...

I saw today's news at CNN-IBN ,The inflation numbers started to dip from last month atlast the efforts of FM and PM began to pay,But the major reason is reduction of Crude oil prices which reduced to 101.26 dollars which was $147.44 when we had a petrol hike,But Still the oil companies are facinglosses of 400cr daily.So we cant expect a reduction unless it falls to $90.There is a big turmoil now in IT industry for no reason other than recession in US.Huge IT stalwarts like Wipro told their recruits to wait till Jan(gud col's),March(tier II coll's).
The CM of Tamilnadu announced that Tamilnadu will be made as IT destination of India.
But what is the Use in IT????...Already IT is crumbling day by day,The government and companies in India must invest in technology like innovating newer technologies, To be true USA dominates the world economy just because they concentrated on innovation.If you notice well you can find right from Telephone to Super Computer,or Aeroplanes to satellites of NASA everything is invented in USA.Invention is their key to success they deserve to rule the world and rest world deserve to serve them.Literally we are serving them through IT and ITES sector and no other country has such a dominant position as USA.
Some crooks in India support for China especially the leftist and they say that China will be the super power,But how can they become its mission impossibe,India should never follow China in anyway.Economy in China is improving because of manufacturing goods at cheaper price,and also cheap quality.Japan economy was the second next to US for decades but the products from China sells more than Japanese because of Cheap price,In recession period no one is ready to buy costlier products.China may acquire the place of Japan but not that of the Mighty US.
But lets see our country first,The key solution to the growth in India is innovation, and we should infrastructure which will help us to innovate.Infrastructure doesn't mean only road but also Quality education,IIT's and IIM's alumini can be found only in US,The government should a make them to stay in our country ,almost 40% of scientists in NASA are Indians,We dont have lack of Quality manpower,but we dont fullfill their needs.We should start focussing on innovation and manufacturing but not on outsourcing.Unless if done so our growthrate wont increase in double digit.

Yesterday I went to the city(according to me) of Cuddalore,where I lived,Studied,and born.I remembered the poet Kannadasan's saying ''Matram yenbathu Manida Thathuvum" which mean Change is the only thing that never changes,The Places which were considered as outskirts like Kumarapuram,where my school management runs a engineering has become the busiest placeand Thanks to cuddalore power company which intends to start 1320 MW imported coal power plant,but lots of critics trying to hinder the project ,ofcourse their concern must be issued,But that project is most needed at this bad powercut in state.There are other concerns which need to addressed ,Already Cuddalore Sipcot region has become one of the polluted region in world,My friend's dad is organising protest against these Chemical companies,he collected some samples of air and sent that to a testing centre at US,A shocking report came that it has carbon content about 45% which is quiet high.When there was a meeting and a rally of DMK in cuddalore Mrs.Kanimozhi visited the region and assured that she will take necessary steps.Lets hope for that as The influentional person in TN, She may take necessary steps.But nothing is certain. The water became contaminated in Thyagavalli region and also in pochimedu and the remaining places surrounding the places.Though we are developing industries we need a new technology and new ideas which will save our economy.

Google Chrome....Here I come

Google launched its so called Next generation browser,CHROME.No sooner it released i just downloaded the CHROME beta from google.com,Though its a freeware,it cant be shared like Mozilla you need to be download it like Yahoo messenger(No set up file available).I just downloaded the Google chrome....I could download very soon and I checked memory space took by Chrome.Oh My God itz 47.6 MB ,To my knowledge Chrome needs more memory than all other browsers,Even the latest version of Mozilla Firefox took only 24.30MB which I feel the best among all till date.

The disadvantage of Mozilla is ,The browser window will open only after 1 or 1.5 seconds when you double click and open the Mozilla....technically its called latency time..Its very less in GoogleChrome.

The biggget merit i found in Google Chrome is no need to traverse file-->add new tab to open a

new tab...instead we can just click + symbol ( shown in figure)we can open the new tab

The frequently visited sites can be seen in thumbnail view and those sites are loaded very fast than other sites.

The are two types of Browsers in Google Chrome ..

1.Normal window

2.Incognito window which never stores caches or passowords,never tracks ur history....u can use this for internet banking etc...

The speed is greater than or equal to mozilla

The worst parts in google chrome is you have specify the domain name...like .com or .net...for eg. if u just type anna university in mozilla address bar the anna university official website will be loaded....Itz the unique feature of Mozilla...but Itz not there in Chrome or any other browser...

The downloads are slow than mozilla.....

Yeah itz true the browser too is like orkut ....shows the same error message often.....But Chrome is not bad...i am using chrome instead of Internet Explorer

As a whole....Chrome is better than Internet Explorer or Safari................but Not equivalent to my most favourite Mozilla firefox ...even Opera is better than this.....But You can use this browser instead of Internet Explorer..

Summer olympics 2008 was launched in Beijing with a spectacular opening...I thought it was a graphics ....

Damn God!! everything is real....The opening ceremony was really great...I have seen 2004 Athens lauching ceremony.It is noway equivalent to Beijing,they worked very hard,they achieved.But to be True, i was jealous about Chinese.Mittal bought Arecelor,Tata bought corus just to tap the Infrastructure boom in China due to Olympics 2008 .
England Olympic association said it would support Olympics in India at 2020....Even China said it would support,But I they they wont,They said so to get votes for Beijing 2008 and London 2012....As Dr.APJ.Abdhul Kalam said India will become super power at 2020, If India becomes so,We should host a Olympic Games like China....I respect the Chinese,They clearly said that "we are global in stage....We have put a stage for the world".Extraordinary efforts!!!!!

I always wanted to invest my money on Shares...Though I have no money as of Now,Being so Bored I started collecting Information about the Sharemarket and those stuff,But I could'nt understand so many concepts in share markets.... I was reading Economic times and Business Today to know about share market ,the Real thing is one shouldn't read those without knowing the share market.After collecting few information I would like to post what i Learned..
First...I just now clearly learned What is a Share...The first time when a company needs a Huge capital, that a company’s certain %age of shares are issued to the public, it is by a process called the initial publicoffering (IPO). It is listed in market and its value varies accordingly by company's performance.

How can we invest in Shares.
The first way to Purchase shares is from the primary market (ie IPOs) I have seen these type of Ad everywhere almost once in week. Most IPOs these days do not have a fixed offer price. Instead they follow a method called the bookbuilding process, where the offer price is placed in a band or a range with the highest and the lowest value (refer to the newspaper clipping on this page).The public can bid for the shares at any price in the band specified. Once the bids come in, the company evaluates all the bids and decides on an offer price in that range. After the offer price is fixed, the company either allots its shares to the people who had applied for its shares or returns them their money.

The Other Way to Invest is By Seconday Markets....ie STOCK EXCHANGES

Once the offer price is fixed and the shares are issued to the people,stock exchanges enable the trading of shares for the general public. Once a stock is listed on an exchange, people can start trading in its shares. In a stock exchange the existing shareholders sell their shares to anyone who is willing to buy them at a price agreeable to both parties. Individuals cannot buy or sell shares in a stock exchange directly, they have to execute their transactions through authorised members of the stock exchange who are also called stock brokers.Even after these information I could'nt get some information. I went deeper into the working of the ShareMarket...but i could understand a little.. My dad said Sharemarket is a place where shares are sold and bought,Its like our koyambedu market..here vegetables ,there Share.Popular markets are NASDAQ,NYSE,BSE,NSE

What do the brokers do

After some work in net i found that,If you want to buy or sell a share, you should contact a broker. Each stock exchange has a limited set of brokers and these brokers contact each other using trading terminals to find out who is interested in the share you want to buy or sell. Brokers have terminals linked to the BSE or the NSE and they directly purchase or sell shares using these terminals.The entire transaction happens electronically or through websites like www.icicidirect.com,Sharekhan.com.Brokers may also authorise a sub-broker to conduct the transactions on behalf of them.Since brokers are providing a service they charge you for the same. Normally this payment is not a flat rate, but a commission of the transaction value.Some broking companies like Reliance Money has Flat rates like 500 per year.But there are some complaints about Reliance Money . Brokerages normally range from 0.5% to 1% for delivery-based transactions(long time transactions, will tell u later about this in brief) and from 0.10% to 0.25% for intra-day transactions.

Depositaries

Depositaries hold shares of investors, In India we have Two depositaries -National Securities Depository Ltd.,Central Depository Services Ltd. They hold shares and on request,in electronic form through a registered depository participant (DP). It can be compared with a bank as it holds securities in an account,transfers securities between accounts on the instruction of the account holder, facilitates the transfer of ownership without the account holder needing to handle securities and makes the safekeeping of shares easy.The agent through which a depositories interfaces with the investor is known as a depository participant. You can create a demat account with a DP some DP's are ICICI,AXIS(UTI),HSBC,I think SBI too, who will keep an account of all the shares you own. This is much like the banking system,where you just create an account and have a passbook which updates you on the money you own and the transactions you have made. In your demat account you own shares in an electronic format and your account gets updated as you buy and sell shares. Online trading account - We have to open an online trading account with any of the bank or financial trading system like ICICIdirect.com, 5paisa.com, Sharekhan.com etc. Their will be nominal annual charges. These charges vary from bank to bank but should not be more than Rs.1000 annually.After opening accounts with these DP's we can trade from our home.

Day trading and Delivery trading are the two main types of shares trading.
Day trading
Buying and selling of shares on daily basis is called day trading this is also called as Intra day trading. Whatever you buy today you have to sell it today very importantly during market hours that is 9.55 am to 3.30 pm (Indian time).
Delivery Trading
In Delivery Trading, as the name say, you have to take the delivery of shares and after getting these shares in you demat account you can sell them at anytime (or you can hold them till you want, there is no restriction). In delivery trading you need to have the amount required to buy share for example, if you want to buy 100 shares of Reliance at price 500 than you must have (100*500) Rs. 5000 in your account; once you purchased these shares will get deposited in your demat account (say after basically, trading day and 2 additional days). Then you can sell these shares when the price of these shares goes up or else you can sell whenever you want..

Some Jargons in Online Share trading

Open which means The first price at which the stock opens when market opens in the morning.
High it says,The stock price reached at the highest level in a day.
Low is the stock price reached the lowest level in a day.
Close ,the end The stock price at which it remains after the end of market timings or the final price of the stock when the market closes for a day.
Bid,The Buying price is called as Bid price.
Offer,The selling price is called offer price.
Bid Quantity ,The total number of shares available for buying is called Bid Quantity.
Offer Quantity ,The total number of shares available for selling is called Offer Quantity.
Transaction,One complete cycle of buying and selling of shares is called One Transaction.
Squaring off ,This term is used to complete one transaction. Means if you buy then have to sell (mean square off) and if you sell then you have to buy (means square off).
Limit Order ,In limit order the buying or selling price has to be mentioned and when the share price comes to that price then your order will get executed with the mentioned price by you
Market Order,When you put buy or sell price at market rate then the price get executes at the current rate of market. The market order get immediately executed at the current available price

Though I managed to get all these Info,I could'nt how the SENSEX numbers are calculated and I don know what that mean....Even I dont know concretely How inflation is calculated....Hope i will find those answers in few days.
